Avondale Garage, Batheaston

A planning application has been submitted for the development of 5 dwellings, following the demolition of buildings at the Avondale Garage site and the retention of commercial units attached to the neighbouring dwelling. The site is within the residential area of Batheaston and therefore the proposal offers a sustainable development for the area. The site occupies sloping ground with the main road through the village following the contours and running along the side of the valley. The new buildings along the road frontage would reflect the character of the area, while the dwellings to the rear offer a contemporary style.
