Heritage & Conservation

As a local practice within The City Of Bath we are continually working with statutory protected Listed Buildings of all grades and Schedule Ancient Monuments, through to Locally Listed Buildings and traditional buildings. We also recognise that all heritage assets require an informed approach.

BBA have been fortunate to work on iconic buildings, including buildings on Great Pulteney Street and Queens Square, as well as Listed Buildings nationally.

We always consider the history of any building prior to undertaking any proposals, ensuring that we understand the building’s origins and development, it’s significance and values, and the potential impact of the proposal on the heritage asset. In this way, our proposals are well considered and can minimise the intervention required, and thereby costs associated with, historically important building fabric.

Our services include:

  • Listed Buildings applications
  • Building at Risk Assessment
  • Certificate of Immunity from Listing
  • Scheduled Ancient Monument Consent Applications
  • Comprehensive Condition Surveys
