We are pleased to see that eighteen new affordable homes will be available early next year at McDonogh Court, a site which has been redeveloped by the Selwood Housing Group. The project on Polebarn Road will provide four two-bedroom and four three-bedroom homes, and ten one-bedroom apartments. These homes have been carefully designed using materials in keeping with those already used in neighbouring properties such as the many listed buildings and walls on Polebarn Road. This included using reclaimed bricks and keeping the original walls.
The aim of the project is to help rejuvenate the local community by providing affordable homes for rent and shared ownership. The project has transformed an abandoned site, thought to be difficult to develop, into a new area of high-quality homes attracting great attention from shared ownership buyers and potential tenants alike.
